now shall you seek so shall you find
the ways of this world do not thee bindbut seek outside and you search in vain
for what you seek does not this world contain
so turn your eyes to the east
and you shall hear the ancient priests
whose cries do call the flames to feast
upon the dark and evil demon beast
then turn your path to the west
and your soul quest shall come to rest
for in the setting sun you shall see
there exists that which will be
so pass you through those firey gates
and meet your next life’s own true fate

What an interesting poem you weave ... the path we choose does reveal much about us now doesn't it.
Joanny
dear jenean, interesting poem, i am still trying to figure it out after reading it 3 times....ah well, my brain is addled a bit lately.....i don't see any direction, according to this, i want to take... :)
xoxo
Love this poem. You are so incredibly talented, Jenean!
hello joanny - it's wonderful to have you drop by and leave a note with such kind words, especially - and you are right - our path we take speaks volumes for us - and sadly, for all the others who come behind us - please come again and have a wonderful day -
oh, dear linda! i'm so thrilled to have you come by here in the midst of all your trauma!!! but listen, about this little poem - sometimes even i don't know what it all means - i wrote this some time ago and kept going back to it as i simply wasn't able to "finish" it - and i hesitate to interpret for someone else because we each have different life experiences and belief systems, etc - and our individual interpretation must be just that - individual - but essentially, to me, what it's just saying is that all that we need or want or think that we need or want is inside us - not in the physical external world - and to listen to the ancient voices who speak to us [eastern philosophy - the beginning - etc] - and in the end, in this physical life we all exit [setting sun in the west etc] through the same gates to go to our next life - again, wonderful to see you - hope you're having a beautiful sunshiny california day!
hey, trish!!! oh, thank you for the kind words but i'm not sure about all that - it's just that i've a few more "inner voices" maybe? and some refer to that in western medical terms :) - but thanks so much, lady!!!
Just a fabulous poem, cher! And I agree with Trish, you are so incredibly talented! Have a splendid Sunday!
Just catching up on the last few posts. Do you have a theme? Death and reincarnation? You are so psychic, I have to wonder...
hello down there at home in louisiana! oh, thank you, lady! hope all is well with you and yours! see you over at your place!
you know, it's odd, nancy, that at times there does seem to be a common "theme" type thing - i don't plan it at all - it just happens - and i may not even be aware of it at the moment - usually, i'm not, actually - thanks so much for coming by - hope your move is going well!
