I figured that if I said it enough,
I would convince the world that I really was the greatest.
It's the repetition of affirmations that leads to belief.
And once that belief becomes a deep conviction,
things begin to happen.

This intrigues me, because when asked once what was I thought was keeping people from being free, I answered "Nothing, freedom is a concept, I believe I'm free in my soul, inside, so I am. Freedom doesn't come from without, to my mind, but from inner belief. No one can give you your freedom, you have to believe and look within." I was really shut-down for that statement and it confused me, am I wrong to have faith in myself? Your post is very thought-provoking on that score, the concept that one can accomplish anything with true faith and conviction in that idea. Repeating one's tenets certainly does lead to action, I agree. And freedom, like so many things, is a concept not an entity so it's my belief that makes me a free person - even if I was jailed I'd still believe in the freedom of my mind, my soul. I liked this subject, thanks for opening it.
i so appreciate your own thought provoking responses and comments here - thanks so much!
