the gypsies' journey...

we all are gypsies of a sort wandering traveling through this life other lives space and time here there and yon on roads less traveled - following the path of the sun and the trail of the stars to worlds known and unknown from yesterday and today into tomorrow -

this is a written and visual journal of my own travels - imagined and/or real -
imagined and/or real - a STREAMOFCONSCIOUSNESS telling of my own personal thoughts feelings experiences - interspersed with words and images of others - with things defined by most as PARAnormal which - for me - all my life - have been PERFECTLYnormal -

SO come along with me and we'll dance among the stars under the sun and over the moon - we'll share our stories around the campfire - together -

A...WOMAN IN MOTION WITH HAIR AS DARK AS NIGHT HER EYES WERE LIKE THAT OF A CAT IN THE DARK... SHE WAS A GYPSYWOMAN... she danced round and round... from the fire her face was all aglow... she was dancing... dancing... waiting for the RISING SUN... loving caring relationships are like THE RISING SUN...we are nourished by their warmth...we are energized by their strength...we grow in their light...we find shelter and solace there...they are our sanctuary... born in the sign of the sun, i am a true LEO-love the sun and its hot orange red fire-passionate in and about everything i do-i believe in instant chemistry charisma love/lust at first sight-in the magic of the eyes and the beauty of the soul-in the instant recognition familiarity in meeting someone from a past life and in the knowledge that we might meet in a future life-i believe that we are each ageless and flawless-i believe in the beauty of the moment-the whisper of yesterday-the hope of tomorrow-the power of forgiveness for even ourselves-the absolute and total beauty of love---[credit to brian hyland and curtis mayfield]

special request for addresses - real communication 2011...

greetings, dear friends -  for those who have not already received this message from me via email today, just this morning, one of my dear blogging friends in ireland [thank you, map] posted a request for his BFs' home addresses so that he might send each of us a xmas card this year - it seems that in ireland, one does not send out xmas cards in the year in which a family member has passed on, as he had this past year - so, for this year, he wanted to send as many as possible - the whole thing of holiday cards took me right down memory lane to all the wonderful cards i received all my life, until the virtual world made such handwritten cards almost obsolete -

and so it is that i thought what a wonderful thing it would be for the NEW YEAR of 2011 - to send each of you a "real" card to your "real" home in the "real" world - hence, my request for your "real" address so that i might let you know i'm thinking of you with the new year!

Uh-oh. Now I'm going to feel guilty! I do love the tradition, though.

You're pretty amazing, Gypsy. This, after just moving?

oh, trish! :)
well, you know, our family was never near any of our extended families - and so, getting cards and letters in the mail was such a thrill that i've never forgotten the getting of them - and actually, i still have some birthday cards from aunts when i was 2 and 3 years old - just never lost that excitement in ripping open letters and cards and knowing that someone had sat down and written to me - and then, reading it once or twice - putting it aside and coming back to it again - just this lust for words, i think - and my kids are really really good about cards and letters too - which thrills me, of course!

oh, nancy, i don't know about amazing - in the midst of a move and all - truth be known, it's more likely an act of selfishness as i so love getting cards and letters myself - as much as i love sending them! ;) but i thank you for the sweet thought! plus, i could use a little distraction from the remaining boxes filled with "where in the world am i going to put that" stuff! ;)
