when dragons fly the ancient skies
and demons sing their lustful cries
and demons sing their lustful cries
of her own free will
she’ll lay her down in the waters still
and pray to let them seep right in
way down deep where it all begins
soak right in to her very core
and open wide the flood gate door
where ancient seers have their say
if light will shine another day
when dragons fly the ancient skies
and demons sing their lustful cries
she’ll lay her down in the waters still
and pray to let them seep right in
way down deep where it all begins
soak right in to her very core
and open wide the flood gate door
where ancient seers have their say
if light will shine another day
when dragons fly the ancient skies
and demons sing their lustful cries

hello dear lady, please forgive me, i've been so absent but was rather ill... i have been reading your lovely posts and have missed much...this one is so inspired, i don't know how you write this way!xoxoxo
Wow. Another awesome piece. I am always curious. Do you start with the image or the words, Gypsy?
dear linda! it's truly wonderful to see you up and about - and with your kind words - such a treat! have skipped over to your place, as well - just checking on you when i can :)
thanks so much for coming by - and do come by again whenever you can! miss you!
for this piece, trish, i had the first two lines first - and had them for several weeks, actually - then i came across this painting and fell in love with it - this artist i also did in another post - you can probably tell his work - at gypsywoman "the painted bird" - anyway, i found these two paintings - and the painted bird verse i just did as i looked at the image and let it speak - for this one, i knew it went with the two lines i already had begun - and there you have it! ;)
most often, i will have a word or two to start - or when i see an image, it will spark a feeling and then i start typing from there -
don't you love the work of this artist? be sure and check out painted bird - don't know why i was on a bird theme of late -

Wow, this poem is fantastic. I really like the way your poetry is always so passionate.
The fiery dragon image is perfect and compliments your words very well. I love everything about this post. Just wonderful! :-)
