It is...possible
within this lifetime
to enhance the
power of the mind,
enabling one to
re-access memories
from previous lives...
Once one has accessed
memories of previous lives
in the dream state,
one gradually recalls them
in the waking state.

It's kind of scary to think about. What if it was a really bad life?
you know, nancy - i'm not sure that good or bad is as relevant as is the knowing and understanding of that good or bad other life - it's the knowing and understanding, acceptance, even, that, i think, allows us to grow in "this" life - does that make sense?
I discovered a past life in a recurring dream, about twenty years ago. It was very scary, and horrifying, but it has allowed me to understand and accept it. Yes, that makes perfect sense! Great post!
Feliz día de San Valentin!
oh, how exciting, marguerite! i mean, that you've had that journey and are aware of it - understanding and acceptance go all the way! thanks so much for coming over! see you at your place soon!
I have always wanted to discuss with someone how to differentiate between strange dream like memories of what may be a glimpse from the past versus just too much stimuli feeding into my already creative imagination.
Sometimes I think, it's more of a feeling rather than a dream, just that knowing, when you feel drawn to, or have interest and knowledge of something deeply, that triggers the thought that you have experienced life pertaining to whatever it is you have encountered.
I am still very skeptical, not so much on whether or not we have the ability to be born again, rather in talking with someone who says they have the ability to tell you who and how you might have lived in the past. It would be exciting though, just to hear what they had to say.
I have a strange sense that I have lived a few times over. Once in early civilization, once not so nice, once of authority and the other more in a teaching role. Who knows. I hope I get it right this time. :)
