the gypsies' journey...

we all are gypsies of a sort wandering traveling through this life other lives space and time here there and yon on roads less traveled - following the path of the sun and the trail of the stars to worlds known and unknown from yesterday and today into tomorrow -

this is a written and visual journal of my own travels - imagined and/or real -
imagined and/or real - a STREAMOFCONSCIOUSNESS telling of my own personal thoughts feelings experiences - interspersed with words and images of others - with things defined by most as PARAnormal which - for me - all my life - have been PERFECTLYnormal -

SO come along with me and we'll dance among the stars under the sun and over the moon - we'll share our stories around the campfire - together -

THE GYPSYWOMANWORLD

My photo
A...WOMAN IN MOTION WITH HAIR AS DARK AS NIGHT HER EYES WERE LIKE THAT OF A CAT IN THE DARK... SHE WAS A GYPSYWOMAN... she danced round and round... from the fire her face was all aglow... she was dancing... dancing... waiting for the RISING SUN... loving caring relationships are like THE RISING SUN...we are nourished by their warmth...we are energized by their strength...we grow in their light...we find shelter and solace there...they are our sanctuary... born in the sign of the sun, i am a true LEO-love the sun and its hot orange red fire-passionate in and about everything i do-i believe in instant chemistry charisma love/lust at first sight-in the magic of the eyes and the beauty of the soul-in the instant recognition familiarity in meeting someone from a past life and in the knowledge that we might meet in a future life-i believe that we are each ageless and flawless-i believe in the beauty of the moment-the whisper of yesterday-the hope of tomorrow-the power of forgiveness for even ourselves-the absolute and total beauty of love---[credit to brian hyland and curtis mayfield]

blue velvet dreams...

i wonder of you
when you are not here
with me near me
when you are
not to be found
to be seen
i wonder of you
on those nights
in the darkness
of my own devices
when there is no
light seeping through
the blue black velvet
of my thoughts of you
no beacon of life
to show me the way
to help me till the light of day
no gentle caress upon my breast
no sheltering from the storm
of sleepless nights
without your cradling softness
i wonder of you
of where you are
with whom you share yourself
those nights
when you are not here
with me near me
when the blackness round
rushes into my dreams
like melted licorice sticks
smoldering there till
light of morn
i wonder of you
of where you are
if the others miss you
when you are here
as much as i miss you
when you are there
if they think of you
when you are here
as i think of you
when you are not
if their thoughts twist
into turmoil in your
absence as mine do
if their hearts sing
in exaltation of your
presence as mine does
if their dreams
drift in waves
of blue velvet
when you are near
as mine do
i wonder of you
ma belle
le mien
pleine lune

How amazingly appropriate! Celebrating the death of my favorite poet, Yeats, today I happen across another poet... a Gypsy Poet, no less!

Thank you for sharing!

Spuds!

Lovely dear Jenean.

I wonder
about
the
hidden
vault
of talents
within
the
gypsy
soul
waiting
to be
unleashed
i wonder
and wonder.

Joy always,
Susan

well, hello spuds - thank you so much for coming by and visiting and especially for following along here - please feel free to check out my other little campfires should you be so inclined - i've just left your place and was tired just reading! but also very intrigued - loved the post of the little girl and the school lunch money - especially appreciated as i was a single parent with five small children and very limited resources during that time - more than a struggle - and one which each of them bore, sadly - so - your post was so very meaningful to me - as were your others - a very interesting setting you have, spuds! thanks for coming by and i hope you'll drop in again -

oh, and yeats!!! divine!!!
have a great day!

hello again spuds - poetry is important to the world i think, whether or not all the inhabitants realize - and especially to me, like you - so glad you enjoy my little tidbits here - actually, most of my "poems" are over in my words unspoken blog and at gypsywomanworld - in this blog i try to focus on more of the metaphysical but these words seemed to fit here too - anyway, thanks for coming by again - and about your wishing you could write poetry - don't just wish, DO it! :)
