the gypsies' journey...

we all are gypsies of a sort wandering traveling through this life other lives space and time here there and yon on roads less traveled - following the path of the sun and the trail of the stars to worlds known and unknown from yesterday and today into tomorrow -

this is a written and visual journal of my own travels - imagined and/or real -
imagined and/or real - a STREAMOFCONSCIOUSNESS telling of my own personal thoughts feelings experiences - interspersed with words and images of others - with things defined by most as PARAnormal which - for me - all my life - have been PERFECTLYnormal -

SO come along with me and we'll dance among the stars under the sun and over the moon - we'll share our stories around the campfire - together -

THE GYPSYWOMANWORLD

My photo
A...WOMAN IN MOTION WITH HAIR AS DARK AS NIGHT HER EYES WERE LIKE THAT OF A CAT IN THE DARK... SHE WAS A GYPSYWOMAN... she danced round and round... from the fire her face was all aglow... she was dancing... dancing... waiting for the RISING SUN... loving caring relationships are like THE RISING SUN...we are nourished by their warmth...we are energized by their strength...we grow in their light...we find shelter and solace there...they are our sanctuary... born in the sign of the sun, i am a true LEO-love the sun and its hot orange red fire-passionate in and about everything i do-i believe in instant chemistry charisma love/lust at first sight-in the magic of the eyes and the beauty of the soul-in the instant recognition familiarity in meeting someone from a past life and in the knowledge that we might meet in a future life-i believe that we are each ageless and flawless-i believe in the beauty of the moment-the whisper of yesterday-the hope of tomorrow-the power of forgiveness for even ourselves-the absolute and total beauty of love---[credit to brian hyland and curtis mayfield]

SURREALESTATE IN SHREVPORT...

gypsy's brew is good for you -
so sit a spell - let your spirits jell
and drink a lot from my little pot!!!
and while you're here,
take a stroll through a bit of
surrealestate in shreveport!!!!

 TAYLORTOWN BELL TOWER

under the light of a full moon, the bride can still be seen on the upper tower platform searching the countryside, watching, waiting, yearning for her own true love - but, alas, he does not come - her heart, year after year, continues to break - so it is said - over 100 moons ago, there was a wealth plantation owner in taylortown whose beautiful daughter was bethrothed to a handsome young man who was the love of her life - the father was so thrilled for his daughter’s happpiness that he built a beautiful church just for the ceremony to be held - but, sadly, on the date of her marriage, the beautiful bride waited and waited - but for naught - her handsome groom never came - the young bride, heartbroken, day after day night after night, stood in the bell tower of her church looking for her betrothed, waiting for him to return and be her husband - but it was not to be - and she died of a broken heart - her father, so distraught over the death of his beautiful daughter, set the church on fire, burning it to the ground - however, the bell tower remained and he dedicated it to the memory of his loving daughter - where she remains to this day, watching, waiting, hoping....

THE LOGAN MANSION
At 725 austin place sits the logan mansion, built in 1897 by LR Logan, a beer and ice manufacturer - it is a queen anne victorian house designed by architect nathaniel sykes allen -also over 100 years ago, in 1908, there lived across the street from the mansion a little girl - this beautiful little girl, on a visit to the mansion, fell to her death from the top window of the house - she remains there today where she is frequently seen in the window from whence she fell so many moons ago - she has also been seen, after midnight, playing in the front yard of the mansion - in the 1980's a radio station occupied the house and there were repeated reportings of unexplained activities like the lights going off and on and window shades going up and down by themselves - at one time, the station operator challenged the entities to “show their stuff” and the lights blinked off and on, the window shades rolled up and down and the radio station went off the air - teams of professional paranormal experts have more recently investigated and obtained positive results in the mansion -

BYRD HIGH SCHOOL
byrd high school is the school attended by my children - it’s on line avenue, a main north/south thoroughfare in shreveport - the school was built in 1925 and had a swimming pool back in those days - however, the pool was later closed when a female student drowned in it - a dance studio was then built above it - then, years later, in the catacombs of the school, a junior rotc instructor shot himself to death there and his spirit continues to haunt the school to this day -

see you later, little children.....
the gypsy's gone
haunting.....
back after
midnighttttttt...........

hey trish - yep, all in shreveport - several of my kids graduated from byrd high - and the logan mansion is just a door or two down from the house that belonged to my friend, graves thomas - you may remember i posted the story of his death by lightening when he and another close friend of mine were out sailing - and he threw his hands up to the skies, saying, take me now - lightening struck and killed him on the spot - anyway - logan mansion has a very long history of hauntings - and the tower is on the outskirts of town just a bit - but one that i've photographed many times although this pic is not one of mine -

thanks much for comment - and happy halloween to you all!!!
