another historical moment...

the fourth of july will forever now hold such special meaning for me - and for my family - this fourth of july, after many years without contact, we were reunited with one of my [now-adult] grandchildren - the story of how the separation came about is unimportant - the important thing now is that "we" have been found each by the other - when i began to be able to sort out the significance of it being on such a holiday, i found:

*i have not seen my granddaughter since june 10, 1993 - those dates [6+10+1993=29=11] all added equal 11

*we contacted each other on july 4, 2009 - the month and day [7+4=11] added equal 11 - the year numbers [2+9=11]added equal 11
*my first electronic communication about finding each other was july 5, 2009 - the month and date [7+5=12] added equal 12 and the year [2+9=11] added equals 11
*the time of this first electronic communication was 12:11

*and the postscript is that june 10 is her birthday - she was 21, which, when reversed, becomes 12

just for fun - einstein's number trick...

to play:

take a piece of paper and write down the number 1089,
fold the paper in half,
and give it to the other person,
without revealing what you have written.
Tell the person to pick any three-digit number,
making sure that the first and last digit differ by at least 2.
Tell this person to reverse the digits and to
subtract the smaller number from the larger number.
Then have this person take the result of the subtraction,
and add it to the result with the numbers in reverse.
Then ask this someone to compare the final result
with the number you wrote on the piece of paper at the start.


Example:
Suppose your friend picks 523.
This number is acceptable since 5 and 3,
the first and last digits, differ by 2.
Now reverse this to get 325 and subtract this from 523.
Now 523-325 = 198.
Reverse 198 to get 891 a
nd add to 198
to get 1089!

numbers again...and again...

earlier today i went out to get a cold drink at a local drive-through -
the line was long - it's tourist beach traffic time now -
as i sat in line, several cars decided to pass and park and enter instead -
one license tag contained "555" -
another car went past with a tag having "444" -
then another with "999" -
after i got my drink i drove over to a shade tree to sit and read for a while - a commercial truck pulled up in front of me - it's phone number printed on the side of the truck was
241-"333"7 -

today's serials:
555 = 15 = 6
444 = 12 = 3
999 = 27 = 9
333 = 9

yesterday's serials:
222 = 6
444 = 12 = 3

just glanced at my "moon phase" insert above and was thinking how glorious the moon in the wee hours of this morning when it was spilling into my bedroom window and wondered what the numerical cycle of today 6/7/9 would be - then noticed the time meter in the moon box - it was 8:44:44 - i guess that answered my question of the moment -

like blayne in his 1111 and synchronicity blog, yesterday when i awoke i wondered how the 6/6/9 day would go - and interestingly, it followed suit - as i was driving down to the beach about 15 miles from my home, i glanced over at the license tag of the car passing me in the left lane - it's tag had a "222" sequence, then two other cars went by right behind the "222" car - one had a "444" and the other contained "888" - i almost laughed out loud and wondered where the "666" was and how perfect THAT would be - and THEN a black cadillac cruised by - and yes, it's tags had the missing "666" to complete my little numerical cycle -
222 = 6
444 = 12 = 3
888 = 24 = 6
666 = 18 = 9
